Todd Burger
Director, Northern Virginia FCA Baseball
General Manager, Herndon Braves Collegiate Team

Todd comes to FCA Baseball after spending 12 years as a volunteer with the FCA Power Baseball program, including past President of the Board.  He has been a Head Coach with the FCA Power Baseball program, Head Coach with the Demarini Stars Showcase program and has coached 13 years as a Virginia High School Coach; including:  Assistant Coach with the Oakton High School Cougars (2009-Present), W.T. Woodson Cavaliers High School program (2008) and the Falls Church Jaguars High School program (2001-2002); and was the Head Coach for the J.E.B. Stuart Raiders High School baseball program (2003-2007).  In the off-season, Coach Burger can be found working as a pitching and catching instructor.

Todd grew up in Rockland County, New York and moved to the Washington, D.C. area after graduating from Purchase College.  He obtained his MA from The American University and worked 14 years on Capitol Hill as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Benjamin A. Gilman.  After leaving Capitol Hill he became employed with the Fairfax County School System.

Todd first became familiar with FCA in 2001 with the FCA Power Baseball program and has been associated with FCA as a volunteer, FCA Power Baseball Coach, and High School Huddle Coach since 2001. He currently is the General Manager for the FCA Herndon Braves, a FCA Baseball Collegiate Affiliate Team and is the Director of NOVA FCA Baseball.  Todd has a passion for growing the FCA Baseball ministry in Northern Virginia, ensuring that coaches and players know that their identity lies not in their success or failures on the field, but in Christ.

Todd and his beautiful wife Sharon where married on October 4, 1992.  They currently reside in Fairfax, Virginia and have three children children Kyle, Madison, and Anna.  They attend Vienna Presbyterian Church in Vienna, Virginia.

Craig Graham
Assistant GM

Craig has an undergraduate degree from Coastal Carolina University and a graduate degree from Syracuse University.  He has background as a strength coach and personal trainer.  After baseball, Craig trained college and professional baseball players who were looking to improve their strength, agility, speed and flexibility.  He has been coaching baseball teams in the Northern VA area for the past few years, consisting of showcase travel teams and high school teams.  He has been associated with the FCA for the past 3 years as a board member and as a coach.  Craig has a passion for teaching and he greatly enjoys working with players who are trying to obtain their optimal performance.

Joey Kamide
Director of Media Relations

Joey has worked in sports media for over 15 years and has coached high school baseball locally for eight years and for two years overseas. His current work in sports media is as a freelance sports writer for the Associated Press' Washington, D.C., bureau, and he has previously worked as the sports editor for The Connection and The Observer newspapers, as a host for 'The Coaches Corner' weekly sports talk radio show, as a play-by-play and color analyst for Fairfax Sports Network and Gameday Magazine, and as the media relations director for the Vienna Senators collegiate summer team, and for the Clark C. Griffith Collegiate Summer Baseball League. He is currently the junior varsity baseball coach at Oakton High School, and the head coach of the Demarini Stars 15U Blue travel baseball team. His previous coaching experience came with three years as a varsity assistant at James Madison High School and four years as a varsity assistant at Centreville High School, for eight years as a travel baseball coach, for a year with the Hungarian National Baseball and Softball Federation, and for a season as the head coach of the Tempo Titans Praha in the Czech Republic. He is single, and resides in Alexandria.

Jeff Gilley - Virginia Tech University

Summer Intern

Jeff is originally from Herndon Virginia and attended Herndon High School from 2006 to 2010.  Upon graduation, he chose to enroll at High Point University in North Carolina.  Due to Jeff's interest in sports broadcasting, he plans to graduate from High Point with a degree in Communications in the Spring of 2014. When he is not working on homework or Communications projects, Jeff is working on developing himself as a Voice Over Artist, another career he is interested in pursuing.


 
Caroline Otroba - Virginia Tech University

Summer Intern

Carrie graduated from Westfield High School, in Chantilly, VA in June 2012.  She currently attends Virginia Tech where she plans to earn a degree in marketing. Carrie is interested in incorporating graphic design with her marketing degree to go into the advertising business.  Outside of school, Carrie has played softball and basketball most of her life and enjoys the outdoors.



Loren Treague - Virginia Tech University

Summer Intern

Loren is originally from Gainesville, Virginia and attended Battlefield High School from 2008 to 2012. She now attends Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia and is double majoring in Marketing and Management with a minor in Business Leadership. Loren plans to graduate with the class of 2016 in May of that year. In her spare time, Loren loves getting involved with campus activities whether they involve community service or events relating to her majors.


 
Andrew Koenig - Virginia Tech University

Andrew graduated from West Springfield High School in June 2012. He currently attends Virginia Tech where he plans on majoring in Marketing. Andrew played high school baseball all four years along with playing on the schools golf team senior year. He loves watching all types of sports.  Outside of school, Andrew is an active member in the Sports Business Club at Virginia Tech and likes to get involved in community service.


 
Joey Truncale - Virginia Tech University

Joey is happy to be back for his 5th year as a broadcaster for the Braves. He attended Herndon High School and will graduate from Virginia Tech in December of 2013 with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Professional Writing. Joey has always had a love for baseball, among other sports. He hopes to attain a job in play-by-play after college. When he’s not working, Joey enjoys spending time with his wonderful family.
